Our impact

St James and charity ministries Is Empowering People To Create Thriving Villages And Lasting Change.

Only from within a community can there be true transformation. We leverage a village’s inherent strengths and capacities to enable leaders to bring about long-lasting change from within.

The entire village improves when local leaders persuade their neighbors to implement life-saving sanitation and hygiene measures. Healthy children are raised. Fathers and mothers have more time to work, and the community water source provides enough of clean water.

Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) Targets That Are Necessary for Our Projects.

The goals and targets listed below describe our program’s performance metrics and the results we anticipate achieving in order to improve the quality of project delivery, transparency, and accountability to our contributors and the general public.

(1.)  MORE ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION (SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS 4)

We accomplished this by using For the sake of fostering inclusive economic growth and quality jobs for everyone, it is imperative to break the vicious cycle of inadequate education, low productivity, and enduring poverty. For young people in particular, education serves as a method of securing a good job in addition to being an end in and of itself. Lifelong learning is also essential to keep up with the evolving skill requirements for the labor market. In the context of globalization, skill development is also crucial for addressing possibilities and challenges to meet the demands of changing economies and new technology.

(2.) AMPLIFICATION OF ACCESS TO WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE (SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS 6.1 & 6.2)

We have achieved this by building wells, restrooms, rainwater collection systems, and other small-scale water systems; restoring drinking water sources; or launching awareness- and education-raising campaigns that encourage healthy hygiene habits. The quality of the ecosystem, human health, education, and economic development are all significantly impacted by having access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and enhanced hygiene. Reducing disease, promoting improved health, eradicating poverty, and creating new chances for growth are all benefits of addressing WASH concerns with local people through physical access improvements and/or supporting behavioral change.

WE STRIVE TO SUPPORT HEALTH COMMUNITIES

  • Our employees demonstrate to the villagers how their existing habits are sickening them. Communities that are aware of their health issues and ready to make significant changes are produced by the approach.
  • To become facilitators for water access, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), local leaders go through a series of trainings. Once trained, they are given a set of homes and given the task of instructing the residents in the development of life-saving healthy behaviors and cooperation for safe water.
  • Respected village leaders are chosen to manage the new water supply and collect user fees. Since women are more knowledgeable in collecting water, they occupy at least half of the seats.
  • The development of the water source can start once a hamlet has at least 90% healthy houses. Our group designs a special water source for that neighborhood, and building gets under way.
